It's a Hoosier tradition -- the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival! Every October for more than 40 years, Parke County has welcomed visitors from all over the world to the Midwest's greatest festival. It's a celebration of Indiana's historic past and Parke County's 32 world-famous covered bridges -- that's more covered bridges than any other county. Nearly 2 million people will descend on Parke County, the capitol of the covered bridge heartland, to tour covered bridges, enjoy entertainment, dine on country-cooked food and shop 'til they drop. Rockville is festival headquarters, with nine festival communities joining together to provide more than 800 square miles of festival fun in Parke County -- the covered bridge capitol of the world. So put on your walking shoes and enjoy! We're glad you're here! Anne Lynk is executive secretary of Parke County Inc. |
